Welcome to Shepherd's Ledger. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shepherd's Ledger mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Shepherd's Ledger is designed to help pastors and ministry leaders track ministerial expenditures, mileage, and related financial records.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
“Shepherd’s Ledger,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to the owners and operators of the Shepherd’s Ledger application.
“User,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or entity using the Service.
“Content” means any data, text, images, receipts, financial records, or other materials uploaded, generated, or stored through the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding agreement to use the Service. By using Shepherd’s Ledger, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Shepherd’s Ledger is provided as a record-keeping and organizational tool only. It is intended to assist pastors and ministry leaders in tracking expenses, mileage, and receipts for informational and organizational purposes.
Shepherd’s Ledger does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for consulting qualified professionals regarding tax reporting, compliance, or financial decisions.
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account.
You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Keep your login credentials secure
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Shepherd’s Ledger is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
By using the Service, you agree that you will:
Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Upload only content you have the legal right to use
Ensure the accuracy of all financial and expense data entered
Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
You agree not to:
Use the Service for fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purposes
Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the Service
Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access
Shepherd’s Ledger may provide features such as receipt scanning, automated categorization, and mileage tracking. While we strive for accuracy, automated features may contain errors.
You acknowledge that:
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all data
Shepherd’s Ledger is not responsible for inaccuracies or omissions
Data generated by the Service should not be relied upon as official financial records without independent verification
You retain ownership of all Content you submit to the Service.
By using Shepherd’s Ledger, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your Content solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and improving the Service.
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
Certain features of Shepherd’s Ledger require a paid subscription.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Shepherd’s Ledger does not store or process your full payment card details. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service and privacy policy.
If you purchase a subscription:
Fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis
All fees are non-refundable except where required by law
Prices may change with reasonable prior notice
Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account
You authorize Shepherd’s Ledger, through Stripe, to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees.
If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial period ends. Trial terms will be clearly disclosed at the time of sign-up.
All trademarks, logos, software, designs, and content related to Shepherd’s Ledger (excluding user-generated Content) are the exclusive property of Shepherd’s Ledger and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.
We reserve the right to:
Modify or discontinue any feature
Update these Terms at any time
Suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
Violate these Terms
Use the Service in a way that creates legal or security risk
Fail to pay required fees
Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and your data may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policies.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shepherd’s Ledger disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shepherd’s Ledger shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or tax penalties, arising from your use of the Service.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you to Shepherd’s Ledger in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shepherd’s Ledger, its owners, affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
